Today I am tackling the oh so dreaded sock drawer *gasp* I know your shuddering, right? Well it was way overdue for me to give my sock drawer and the "unmentionable" drawer some attention so off to organizing I went.
Okay a quick glance is all my messy before pictures need! I only put them up there to give that magical "ah ha" moment that comes with the before and after photos. Really I'm not that embarrassed though some may find it "distasteful" to air ones (clean) laundry on the internet, but I'll survive.
Okay so I of course emptied the drawers completely and then wiped them out to give them a nice clean feel. If you want to line them with drawer paper now would be the time I haven't found any that I like quite yet so maybe I'll add some later...
Next you of course want to sort everything, match socks, purge some extras or UN-worn items.
I found these handy little baskets at my local dollar store and sorted things by use; everyday vs. occasional.
I am so happy with how this turned out and it literally cost me $2.00! Everything is sorted into two categories on the left I have occasional worn items and on the right I have everyday essentials that I reach for and in the back of my sock drawer I tossed my growing collection of tights and leggings.
